Lunenburg Lit Festival
This little festival by the sea packs a big punch showcasing Canadian literature at its finest.
The Lunenburg Lit Festival is a celebration of storytelling on the South Shore. There’s no better way to get inside a storyteller’s head than have them read to you. We’re very excited to be one of the only live and in person literary events of the season.

Journey to Sable Island– Astor Theatre Fundraiser

Take a theatrical journey to the shores of Sable Island through the eyes of Marcia Pierce Harding’s novel, Secrets of Sable Island. You will travel to the author’s magical world through theatrical performances woven together through narration, dance, lighting and music. Directed and performed by Dalhousie Student Ashley-Rose Goodwin and her specially selected cast, you will find yourself amongst breathtaking visuals of wild horses, where secrets are held tightly to the heart, journeys abound, and dreams come true.
Andrew Frelick w/special guest Amanda Riley- King St.Beer
Doors open at 7pm followed by two rockin’ country sets by Nova Scotia natives, and award winning Nashville recording artists, Amanda Riley & Andrew Frelick.
Andrew Frelick is set to release his 4th Nashville recording, and first, full length album “Cut to the Chase” on Monday September 13th.Be among the first to hear the album performed live track by track, as well as many other top country favourites by both Frelick and special guest Amanda Riley!

Four Points Vintage Market
A fun weekend planned for the Four Points Vintage Market.
The Four Points Vintage Market is a fantastic event held just outside Mahone Bay and Lunenburg several times a year. Showcasing vintage and antique sellers as well as local artisans, it is not to be missed!
Saturday from 9-4 and Sunday from 9-2.
Artisan Market
The monthly Artisan Market at the Bridgewater Farmers Market just keep growing! You’ll find over 30 amazing local vendors selling all your favourite farmers’ market goods, plus an abundance of beautifully handcrafted products
Join us on September 25th for the second last Artisan Market of our regular season. One more is coming up on October 30th before we take a short break before the holiday market season. Remember, you can still find artisan products and loads of freshly picked, baked and cooked food ever Saturday during our regular season until the end of October!
Seaside Centre’s Autumn Craft Sale- Beach Meadows
The Seaside Centre’s Autumn Craft Sale is on this Saturday and Sunday, and has been a Fall tradition for more than 20 years. It is in the beautiful community of Beach Meadows in Queens County.
Saturdays in the Park 2021- Lunenburg Bandstand
Still time to enjoy live music at the Bandstand in Lunenburg from 2:00pm-3:00pm, sponsored by the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society. This Saturday enjoy Brad Reid Quartet. For more info, visit https://www.folkharbour.com/.
After the resounding success of the 2020 version of Saturdays in the Park, we are delighted to bring a stellar lineup of Atlantic Canadian music to Lunenburg this summer. Concerts will take place at the Bandstand on Saturdays from 2 to 3 pm and are family friendly and free of charge.
Wild Medicine Walk at Miller Point Peace Park
Oren Hercz is a Clinical Herbalist who helps people on the South Shore struggling with chronic health conditions who want to feel a greater sense of ease and wellness in mind and body. He is leading a Wild Medicine Walk at Miller Point Peace Park.
Come explore the abundance of nature and learn how the wild plants growing around us can be used as food and medicine. At the end of our medicinal plant walk, the conversation will continue around a pot of wild medicine tea that we will brew together. Bring your own mug.
