What’s Happening on Friday April 9, 2021
Apr 9 – Clickity-Clack Knitting Group (Bridgewater)
Grab your skeins, needles and patterns and join the Clickity-Clack Knitting group this Friday from 10am-12pm at DesBrisay Museum. Instruction for beginners and socialization for the more experienced knitters. Some supplies are available and lots of patterns for beginners. Join us for a relaxing morning of knitting/crocheting and chatting, $10 for the season.
Apr 9 – Public Skating at the LCLC (Bridgewater)
Skate your way into the weekend at the LCLC in Bridgewater. Public Skates happen throughout the weekend, $4 for Adults, $3 Youth, Family ($ people) $10. Check the schedule above, grab your bubble people, skates and head to the rink!
Apr 9 – Recreational Swim and Inflatable Obstacle Course at the LCLC (Bridgewater)
If you prefer to get in the water, rather than skate on it, the LCLC Pool has a number of Recreational Swim Times this Friday, including 1:30pm-4pm. Apr 10 – MODL Autism Acceptance Month Sensory Friendly Events – Swimming at the LCLC (Bridgewater)
The MODL has partnered with the South Shore Chapter of Autism Nova Scotia to host sensory friendly events at the LCLC. Join them this Saturday for sensory friendly free swim, all ages are welcome, there are two time slots available. Pre-Registration is required.
Apr 10 – South Shore Elementary School Art Exhibit (Bridgewater)
The DesBrisay Museum and South Shore Elementary Schools present the Artwork by the Children of the South Shore of Nova Scotia. The museum is open Mon-Fri 12pm-4pm. Head over and celebrate all the your artists! The exhibit will be on display from April 6 to April 23.
Apr 10 – Steve Dicks at the Nosy Crow featuring Danny Pink (Mahone Bay)
Steve Dicks is back on The Nosy Crow patio this Saturday from 1-3pm, and he is bringing Danny Pink with him. Great food, drinks and music in the heart of Mahone Bay.
Apr 10 – DJ Theory- Music Mixes for Everyone at Boxing Rock Taproom (Shelburne)

Apr 11 – Furry Friend Walk at the Miller Point Peace Park (Dayspring)
The District of Lunenburg Recreation Department wants celebrate your 4-legged friends with a walk just for them in honour if National Pet Day! Grab your leash, join them for a dog-friendly walk at Miller Point Peace Park this Sunday from 2-3pm. Apr 11 – Public Skate at Lunenburg Arena (Lunenburg)
Grab the kids, our bubble friends and skates and head for an early evening at the rink in Lunenburg Arena. Family Skates take place Sundays from 6:15-7pm. Why not stop at a local restaurant or coffee shop ahead of time and make a day of it?
Apr 11 – Chamber Music Showcase at St. Barnabas Church (Blue Rocks)
Musique Royale is excited to be back in Blue Rocks at St Barnabas Church. Join them this Sunday for a “Chamber Music Showcase” at 4 pm which will feature young musicians from the Nova Scotia Youth Orchestra performing arrangements of JS Bach, Stravinsky, Piazzolla and more!
