I can’t even tell you how many times I have made Warm Cranberry Dip. I’ve taken it to parties, make in on our Tree Day to have while we decorate the tree, and it makes an appearance at any of our family gatherings. It’s a “Christmas” recipe in my mind, which means I only make it during the holidays.
Having holiday recipes, makes them special and something to enjoy and look forward too. Like Sugar Cookies, and my Spicy Maple Nuts, Warm Cranberry Dip is definitely part of our families Christmas traditions.
You can buy cranberry sauce, but I often make my own, using cranberries from Indian Garden Farm. Warm Cranberry Dip can be made ahead and just reheated when needed. The dip has a slight pink-is colour, which I think make sit look more festive. 😉 The leftovers will also last for several days in the fridge.
*Take care when toasting the almonds. Set it on low heat and stir frequently as they can burn quickly if left. You just want them browned/toasted a bit, which adds some lovely texture to the dip.
