Sunday mornings I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week…I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.
Jillian Saulnier’s Olympic journey started at a backyard rink in Nova Scotia
We are SO excited for Jill Saulnier and her trip to the 2018 Winter Olympics as part of the Canadian Womens Hockey Team! Why…because….she’s sort of family. 😉 Several years ago Jillian’s brother Brennan lived here with us for several months as a billet with the Lumberjacks Junior A Hockey Team. We met the whole family…including Jill…and thanks to Facebook are still in touch. We could not be more excited for the entire Saulnier family…especially Jill…and her mom Christine. 😉 xo
Bridgewater’s Rofihe’s Mens Wear to shutter its doors after 92 years in business
Oh gosh…who doesn’t hate to see this sort of thing happen. More and more across the province you see institutions…like Rofihe’s Mens Wear…shutting their doors. I will say, I have enjoyed reading the stories like this one, where Jim shares the history of the store, and seeing the messages and pictures on social media thanking them for their service. Pretty darn incredible. What a legacy…and loss to our town. A reminder that we need to support these establishments…and a big thank you to Rofihie’s for helping our men look good …at work…special occasions…proms…weddings…and even funerals. King Street just won’t be the same.
