Sunday mornings I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch-up on some stories I may not have had time to read throughout the week…I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.
A token of change: Halifax cafe helping those in need with a hand up
I love this. You can buy subsidized tokens to pass out or to hang in The Nook cafe that someone in need can use. “Seeds of change…” can happen in many ways…some as little as a $2.00 token. Great job by The Nook in Halifax!
LETHBRIDGE: How long will we keep paying women less?
The fact that in 2018 this is still a headline…is depressing. Women doing the same work as men…are still paid less in many cases…and a significant amount less at that. There are various reasons that contribute to this, but the time has come to rectify this once and for all.

Deckhand- Bluenose II- Lunenburg
OK….now I bet this is a job that gives you some stories to tell. You must be between 19-30…no experience required…and you work and live on-board. What a terrific learning opportunity! For those students who may be graduating this year and looking to take a gap year, working and sailing on the Bluenose ll sounds like the perfect way to spend part of that year. So cool!
You can apply for the job online here.
