Boatbuilders boosting capacity and hiring workers to keep up with demand
I find stories like this sort of fascinating. Lobster is a booming business here in Nova Scotia and we often think about the fishermen who bring in the lobster, but what about the people who build the boats for them to go fishing on? Another industry struggling with a common problem…not enough skilled workers to do the job. Attention high-schoolers…the boat builders association has helped develop two new apprenticeship programs … the boat builder and marine service technician programs…to help with demand. Jobs ready and waiting!
