Sunday mornings I usually grab a cup of coffee and take time to catch up on stories I might have missed throughout the week. I thought you might enjoy them with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.
5 Of The Best Nova Scotia Condiments to Grace Your Table This Fall | Select Nova Scotia
I love a good condiment. As an addition to a cheese plate or with your chicken or pork dinner, there are so many options! Nice to see a couple of South Shore products on the list. Note to self…pick up some of Ma Bell’s Carrot and Cardamom Jam next time I am at the Lunenburg Farmer’s Market. 🙂
You’ve probably tried traditional Nova Scotia jams and jellies before. But Nova Scotia producers are turning out all kinds of products from hot sauces to wicked relishes and pickles. If you want to jazz up any meal, you should consider these condiments the next time you’re looking for local!

Farmer’s Daughter market eyes expansion after success of land-for-labour ad – Nova Scotia – CBC News
This good news story just keeps going. From offering free land to anyone who commits to being employed at their market for five years, they had such an overwhelming response that they are now considering expanding their market. For an 800 person community, this is truly a remarkable story. I love it.
A family-run market in rural Cape Breton that offered up free land in a bid to attract new employees now has dreams of expanding with an apple cidery and accommodations — in part because interest continues to trickle in more than a year later. This is my kind of story to go with my Sunday Morning Coffee.
