Sunday mornings I usually take time to catch up on stories I may not have time to read through the week. I thought I would share some that caught my eye this week, that you might enjoy with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.

Trump has scared the bejesus out of everyone’: How Canada could win the Amazon sweepstakes – Business – CBC News
I’ll admit that since Donald Trump became President, it has greatly altered how I consume news. I find it difficult to watch or even read, news related to the US and this President without having some sort of reaction. I cannot imagine how people living in that country must feel. So, I found this story intriguing. The fact that a major player like Amazon may consider locating a headquarters in Canada, because of Trump and his policies, is staggering. With 50 000 job on the line, this is a big deal, and Halifax’s Mayor has already tweeted out words of support for them to consider NS. This is going to be interesting.
Before last November that may well have been true, but no longer. Now, the idea of Amazon choosing Canada isn’t just possible, it’s probable. “If Trump wasn’t president I don’t think we’d be having quite this conversation,” said Richard Florida, an urban studies theorist at the University of Toronto. “Trump has scared the bejesus out of everyone.

4058 Highway 325, Newcombville, Lunenburg County
I’m not going to lie…I have thought about this house and property MANY times. The house is stunning…open concept, office space, wood stove, etc, but it’s the property and GARDENS that have me absolutely swooning. A raised bed vegetable garden, a greenhouse, in-ground root-cellar, a chicken coop…oh…and over 80(!) lavender plants! Located only 10 minutes from town…which is great…but I would never want to leave. 😉
Set high on a hill with sweeping views of Lunenburg County sits an exceptionally well crafted contemporary home on 38 acres. The blend of log and ICF construction work beautifully together creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. The open concept main level, with central wood stove, is great for entertaining, while the loft and family room have a quiet and cozy feel.
