Sunday Morning Coffee

Sunday mornings I usually grab a coffee and take time to catch up on stories I may not have time to read through the week. I thought I would share some that caught my eye this week, that you might enjoy with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.

If You Are Looking for Reasons to Be Happy, You’ll Probably Find Them

I love Joshua Becker’s writing on Becoming Minimalist. Your mind is a powerful tool, yet how many of us seldom focus on trying to use our internal thoughts for good and positive outcomes. Let’s all try to focus on being grateful…and see how the day goes. 🙂

If you wake up tomorrow and decide you are going to be bitter and hate life, you will almost certainly find reasons to hate your life. But on the other hand, if you wake up tomorrow and decide you are going to be joyful and grateful for the life you live and the day you have been given, you will almost certainly find countless reasons to reinforce your decision.

Dartmouth North Community Food Centre inspires single mother to begin journey out of poverty – Local Xpress

This is one inspiring story and shows the importance of community groups like the Dartmouth North Community Centre, a not-for-profit organization that offers a dignified place for people to come together to embrace wholesome food. I don’t know the woman in this story…but I am so proud of her and the steps she is taking to improve her situation for herself and her family.

She wants to continue her path of advocacy, a journey she began with the Dartmouth North Community Food Centre seven months ago. She has been a regular volunteer at this largely community-run, not-for-profit organization that offers a dignified place for people to come together to embrace wholesome food. She is inspired by the men, women and children who arrive without fail for the regular cooking classes and community meals prepared by the centre’s nutritionist and chef. You Could Live Here!

110 Pine Grove Street, Mahone Bay

Oh my…this could be the perfect starter home/retirement home for someone looking to live in a perfectly charming town….Mahone Bay. For $199 900, you could have this sweet little two bedroom home with a lot large enough to subdivide! Endless possibilities. 🙂

Located on a quiet street in the seaside town of Mahone Bay. This home has remained unaltered for many years and retains much of its original charm and character. The structure appears quite straight and solid for the most park. The roof was re-shingled a couple of years ago and the hot water tank, panel has been upgraded to circuit breakers. The bonus with this home is the large town lot that appears to meet the requirement to subdivide if one would wish to do so.
