Sunday mornings I usually grab a cup of coffee and take time to catch up on stories I may not have time to read through the week. I thought I would share some that caught my eye this week, you might enjoy them with your Sunday Morning Coffee as well.
Relaxed performances break down barriers at Stratford Festival – Kitchener-Waterloo – CBC News
What a treat it must be for families or individuals to be able to experience theatre in a setting that is comfortable for them. Kudos to the Stratford Festival for making this happen and inspiring others to do the same.
“The whole concept of relaxed is to relax the experience. To take away the stress of ‘I have to be here and I have to sit still and I have to sit in the dark,’ ” Shelley Stevenson, the administrative director for the festival, told CBC Kitchener-Waterloo.The festival experimented with the idea last year, and the pilot went so well they decided to integrate the initiative into the 2017 season.

Couple celebrates 75 years of marriage without a major fight – Nova Scotia – CBC News
Well, if this isn’t inspiring, I don’t know what is. 🙂 I’m especially touched by the recounting of the years early in the marriage, while Charlie was at war and writing weekly letters to Annie during which time 3 years passed before he saw her again. Perhaps it was starting their lives together in such a way that bonded them together and established a “we can do anything” mentality. A life together in peace and love for 75 years…amazing.
A couple from southwest Nova Scotia is celebrating 75 years of wedded bliss Thursday and they say they’ve never had a single major fight.Charlie and Annie Muise of Tusket, both 95, married in 1942 — two weeks before Charlie shipped off to fight in the Second World War.They didn’t see each other again for more than three years
