Sunday mornings I usually take time to catch up on stories I may not have time to read through the week. I thought I would share some that caught my eye this week. Both of this weeks stories come from some fellow East Coast Mom Media members. I hope you enjoy them with your Sunday morning coffee.
Mother’s Day as a Surrogate Mom – Pickle Planet Moncton
I love stories like this. Can you imagine giving a gift to someone who has been wanting it for 17 years? Now imagine you are giving them the greatest gift of all…a child. This is a moving, special story and I thank both families for sharing it. What a special Mother’s Day this will be….
Every family has a slightly different way of celebrating Mother’s Day, but this year carries extra meaning for Sheena Morgan of Salisbury. She will spend the day here in New Brunswick with her husband and their four children, but part of her heart will be in Ontario. That’s where IM will be celebrating her first Mother’s Day with her twin boys, who Sheena brought into this world.

A Letter to my Pre-Motherhood Self » Mommyzoid
Letters like this one would have gone a long way for me when I was in my early motherhood haze. Thank you to Stephanie for writing this and recognizing we are all doing the best we can.
BabyA Letter to my Pre-Motherhood SelfMay 8, 2017Photo by Morgan Webb PhotographyI can’t begin to describe to someone who’s about to become a mom how motherhood is going to feel. It’s just impossible to predict how it will feel for any given individual. My story has been remarkably normal, and not because it’s been without trials and tribulations. That’s exactly what has made it so terribly normal. It’s normal to have highs and lows. Every emotion & experience I’ve had has been completely and utterly normal. These kids of mine have changed me in ways I didn’t know were possible. Motherhood is a beautiful thing!

You Could Live Here- 2009 Hwy 331, West Lahave
Have the kids all finally moved out and you’re looking for a relaxing place to start the “next chapter”? How about down-sizing to this cottage that can also be used as a year-round residence. For this price, 160 ft of shoreline, a pebble beach, and a deck overlooking the Lahave, I can’t imagine this will last long!
Welcome to the shores of the LaHave River. Picture yourself waking everyday to the sunrise over the river & chillaxing on your deck or sitting next to the water with the bonfire. There is a concrete pad ready for a docking system & strong retaining wall. 160 ft of shoreline with a pebble beach. The footprint of the home is cozy & quaint with one bedroom up & one bedroom downstairs.
