It’s all fun and games on one Cape Breton School Bus
This is so impressive! A grade 12 student who sees issues arise with some of the younger students on their lengthy bus ride, comes up with a solution, which she already shown to work! Fantastic leadership here and I wish her the best as she presents her idea to the principals and works towards making this a personal development credit. I love it. 🙂
Grade 12 student Janine Lock came up with a guide for playing games and activities on her bus to keep kids entertained, and now she’s pitching it to the local school board.

‘Exhilarated’ group behind small-but-mighty march plans more events – Nova Scotia – CBC News
It was pretty cool to see all the national and even international attention the small group from Sandy Cove got for their own Women’s March held last weekend. Even more inspiring is their plans for next steps. Gathering together to discuss social issues, and possible solutions, made possible in rural Nova Scotia, by a small, determined group. Inspiring!
A group of about 15 people had barely finished marching in support of women’s rights through the village of Sandy Cove, N.S., when they started thinking: what’s next?”We were so exhilarated and we were in such high spirits after we got back from our walk,” co-organizer Gwen Quigley Wilson told CBC’s Mainstreet.

You Could Live Here! 38 Brook Street, Bridgewater Nova Scotia
If we ever decided to move to town, this is exactly the type of family home I would be looking for. Four bedrooms, with lots of room in the backyard that is complete with a brook running through it, and I even spot a rhubarb patch. 🙂 A little porch to enjoy your morning coffee on and the ability for your kids to walk to the park, swimming pool, school, etc. Did I mention there’s also a wood stove? All of this on a quiet, town street…what more could you want?
The perfect family home….not easy to find you say! Well we may have what you are you are looking for. Situated on the quiet south end of Bridgewater, close to swimming pool, town park, churches, shopping and more. This 2 storey home with 4 bedrooms (all on one level) is ready and waiting for a new family to enjoy all it has to offer. The main level boasts a beautiful oak kitchen, large living, dining and generous sized den; all have hardwood floors and there’s more…the den with wood stove, 2 sets of garden doors to the back yard, laundry and full bath. Downstairs there is a family room, workshop, storage and walkout. While sitting on the back deck enjoying the evening sunset, you can listen to the gentle song of the brook running through the property, a gentle breeze, the kids playing…does it get any better than this?

That house is adorable and I can’t believe it’s on a town street. It looks like it’s nestled in the middle of nowhere, the yard is gorgeous!
I know! What a beautiful, big back yard…with a brook!
