This is one remarkable story. The support from the community and the country has helped the Hadhad’s Peace by Chocolate become a viable business that is now employing 10 people and looking to expand…after only 1 year! They’ve already said they will never leave Antigonish because of the peace and security they feel there. Now, we just need to get the red tape dealt with so their son can finish his medical degree and our province will have a new doctor, committed to stay.

A Syrian family in Antigonish, N.S., says they’re financially independent on their one-year anniversary in Canada, having made a sweet success of their start-up business.The Hadhads are so successful they now employ 10 people at their small chocolate shop.
