This past week the Lunenburg Farmers Market, moved to an outdoor space, with many adjustments to follow the recommendations put out around social distancing, etc. We all need to adjust the way we conduct ourselves and move through the coming days, weeks and possibly months. Having the ability to support our local farmers and producers is imperative and being made easier.
Justin Cantafio, executive director of Farmers’ Markets of Nova Scotia, said buying food online instead of at a market is “extremely simple” and will have a huge impact on the survival of producers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
