Annual Radiothon Surpasses Goal, Covers Purchase of 25 Ceiling Lifts

An incredible response last week to the Gift From The Heart Radiothon, which raised $200,274.64 for the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore.

This year’s event officially brought the total funds raised over the last ten years above the $1 million mark. Amazing!

Dalhousie medical students to get training on the South Shore

Five third-year medical students from Dalhousie University in Halifax will get hands-on training in Bridgewater, Lunenburg, and Liverpool starting this September as part of a 48-week program created a year ago to introduce future physicians to what it’s like practicing their expertise in rural Nova Scotia.
