A small but mighty group in Lunenburg is taking to educate businesses and support them them with change in how much plastic is used. Kudos to them! I’ve noticed a definite shift in Lunenburg this summer when visiting different restaurants and cafes. One small step at a time…

A full-time position at Employment Solutions for a bookkeeper is available.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Employment Solutions Society, the Bookkeeper is responsible to perform daily accounting activities including; maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports. Is familiar with a variety of financial concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Bookkeeper plans, organizes and evaluates the operation of the financial and accounting responsibilities of the office. The Bookkeeper establishes performance standards and prepares various financial reports for the Executive Director.
