Sunday mornings I usually take some time to read stories I may not have time for through the week. I plan to share some of my favourite stories here so that you might catch up on them as you enjoy a Sunday Morning Coffee!
Lunenburg County property to be sold to ecologically sound buyers – Nova Scotia – CBC News
Windhorse Farms is for sale…parts of it anyway. What a unique opportunity for the right investors, and I so admire the commitment of the current owners Jim and Margaret Drescher to find the right buyers. They say that their family is most concerned that a buyer or buyers would share common values of respect for the natural environment, community, and local economic development.
When we built our home 10 years ago, the hemlock flooring we used throughout, was processed at Windhorse Farm in their Wood Shop. I love it now as much as I did when we first laid it. Good luck to the Drescher’s, true stewardship of this land.
A Nova Scotia couple is selling a unique cluster of properties in Lunenburg County, but only to buyers who share their commitment to ecology and community-minded development.

Why Women need a Tribe
How fitting that one of my dear friends sent this to me? I couldn’t agree more with this story on the power of female friendships. In our busy lives looking after children, aging parents, work pressures, home life, husbands, partners, community involvement, etc, it is essential that we make time for those things that lift us up and give us strength. Even on a crazy week, I never regret squeezing in a quick coffee or chat with a girlfriend. Make time….book it in….you won’t regret it. It’s good for your health. 🙂
Women are natural nurturers and empathic givers. It is vital for them to receive and be nourished as continual giving out ends in depletion, an increasingly common health problem. Women instinctually know how to nourish each other, and just being with each other is restorative.

665 Lahave Street, Bridgewater Nova Scotia Property Details
What a sweet little starter home or even a downsize for empty nester’s. Waterfront views, wrap around porch, garden doors, deck off the master….these things speak to me. Fantastic price for a property so close to everything. Love it!
Wrap around porch, with swing chair, makes you feel like sipping lemonade on a country day. It’s a winning combination of prime location in town, affordability, and home or office space! Zoning this commercial could easily be done!
