COVID-19 and all that it brought with it, changed our lives in many ways, with employment being one of the most affected. There has been a lot of worry and concern about work for the general population, let alone our students. Thankfully Nova Scotia has stepped up to the plate and has made great strides in flattening the curve allowing for businesses to start reopening for the summer season! What does this mean? That there are indeed Summer Student Jobs on the South Shore for 2020!
A lot of the positions being advertised now are typically jobs that are subsidized by the Government of Canada as part of their Canada Summer Jobs program. Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) is an initiative of the Summer Work Experience program. It provides wage subsidies to employers to create employment for secondary and post-secondary students.
So we thought it might be helpful to have some of these positions in one place. We published a similar post last year that was very popular. We’re really doing this for the parents. Now you can just send them one link…instead of repeatedly messaging them with the latest job postings. You’re welcome. 😉
