Wayward Farm – Bridgewater

Yonder Hill Farm is offering their Food for Future seed packets and collection online. While we have this unexpected opportunity to be at home, its a great time to start planning our gardens and potting up.

Gold Nugget AFN – Gold River

Sweetwood Farm – Mahone Bay

Sweetwood Farm is able to offer a delivery service of total free range heritage eggs, 100% pastured pork, pure goat milk soap and body bars, and other natural, healthy, delicious farm food and treats. We can include thecurdgirl cheese making kits – special family kits suitable for kids and kits for adults too – a great healthy and fun hobby and what better time? We have certificates available for future ‘baby goat cuddle’ and ‘cheesemaking’ events. Orders can be collected at the farm (EMT) or a weekly delivery day in the area is being sorted. We continue to need to feed our pregnant does and newborns despite them not generating an income so all help is greatly appreciated.

Seniors Shopping Hours

Putting our seniors foremost in their thoughts, a number of shops will be opening an hour early, or reserving their first hours of operation for seniors only. FreshCuts in Bridgewater, Nick’s Your Independent in Mahone Bay and Gow’s Home Hardware & Furniture will be offering such services along with Shoppers Drug Mart, Atlantic Superstore, Spidles Your Independent in Chester, Francis Your Independent in Lunenburg, New Germany FreshMart. Rebecca’s Restaurant has made the decision to close and will now only be offering Freezer Meals that can be ordered over the phone with scheduled pick ups on Friday (8-2). Please refer to the menu (click below) for the step by step process. They will be practising safe social distancing protocols while we continue to support our community. Keep checking the menu as we will be updating it every week to offer families a rotating list of prepared meals that are all locally sourced to support our fellow small businesses during this time.

The Bluebird Boutique

The Bluebird Boutique is a small local consignment store that caters to new moms and children from birth all the way up to 16 with a selection of products (mostly clothes).  They recently went live with their website (thebluebirdboutique.ca) to allow our customers to shop from the comfort of their own home and can arrange a time to safely pick up purchases at the store.
