Oh, real life…why don’t you have to make things so difficult sometimes? It’s weeks like these that require a Real Food Meal Plan.
If you need some meal inspiration here’s what I am making this week.
Slow Cooker Honey and Garlic Chicken and Veggies
Pork Chops with Baked Potatoes and Peas
Chicken Caesar Salad
Yes…that’s a lot of chicken in one week….what can I say…it’s easy and it’s on sale.
Here’s what I bought:
2 pkgs of pork lion centre chops- $2.99/lb
1 large pkg of boneless, skinless chicken breasts- $3.99/lb
1 pkg boneless, skinless chicken thighs-$3.99/lb
soya sauce
Ragu pasta sauce
buttermilk
1 box penne pasta
1 box medium shell pasta
1 large bag of baby carrots
1 small bag of mini red potatoes
1 avocado
1 bag of romaine hearts
Here’s what I had:
potatoes (for baked potatoes)
bacon
mozzarella cheese
frozen peas
parmesan cheese
Caesar dressing
sour cream
mayo
tomato
cheddar cheese
fresh chives (from my garden…:) )
honey
ketchup
various spices
A couple of notes about this weeks recipes…
* For the Honey Chicken and Veggies, I make the recipe as stated, however I do not add green beans, I usually just make some peas on the side. This meal takes NO time to throw together…maybe 5 minutes…and is delicious.
* The Chicken Parmesan is a family staple here. I make it almost every week…everyone loves it.
* My first time making the Chicken Club Pasta Salad….would be good to take to a potluck or party.
I bought this weeks groceries at the Atlantic Superstore and based my Real Food Meal Plan by what was on sale. There’s still time today and grab some of those sale items. Have a great day!
