It feels like the perfect time to shine some light on a feel good story…and what’s sweeter than a young couple in love? 🙂 You never know when you could be in picking up some cucumbers and tavern ribs and happen to witness a proposal at Fresh Cuts Market, but that’s what happened a few weeks ago.
Morgan Joudrey was just 10 minutes from finishing her closing shift at Fresh Cuts, when her boyfriend Shane Kaulback came into the market, dressed up and clean shaven. When Morgan asked what he was doing there, he said he was “getting stuff for the rabbits.”
Then Shane said, “Come here and give me a kiss” to which Morgan replied, “I can’t, I’m working!” Next thing she knew, Shane was down on one knee and asking, “Will you marry me?”
After the surprise and shock, Morgan said yes!
One of her coworkers, Emily Bruhm, told Morgan she saw Shane down on one knee and thought he had dropped something, but then quickly realized what was happening. Everyone in the store clapped and cheered for the newly engaged couple.
A few days later, Andrew Langille, co-owner of Fresh Cuts Market, told Morgan they had video footage of the engagement from their security cameras, which they then shared to their Facebook page.
Morgan and Shane have set June 19th 2021 as their wedding date. Congratulations! We love this sweet proposal at Fresh Cuts Market and wish them all the best in the future.
