Another week is upon us. Another week in November, inching us closer and closer to the Holidays. My calendar is already starting to fill in with concerts, parades, parties, etc. How are you coming with your Holiday prep? Don’t forget about some of the tips in my How to Simplify and Enjoy the Holiday Season post. The next few weeks are paramount to actually looking forward to December, rather than dreading it. It’s Meal Plan Monday!
Since you may be busy getting as much Holiday stuff out-of-the-way as you can, here’s a meal plan for you for this week from The Atlantic Superstore.
Here’s what we’re having:
Baked Ham, Mashed Potatoes and Baby Carrots
Pork Tenderloin Stir Fry and Rice
Slow Cooker Garlic Top Sirloin Pot Roast with Potatoes and Carrots
BLT’s and Salad
Here’s what I bought:
2 VH Stir fry sauce packets- $1.39/$2.78
PC Blue Menu Rotini Pasta- $2.29
PC Frozen Vegetable Blend- $6.99
Frozen Green Peas- $1.99
2 lbs Baby Carrots- $3.49
10 lbs Russet Potatoes- $4.49
Tomatoes- $2.81
Iceburg Lettuce- $1.99
2 Green Peppers- $1.21
PC Bacon- $3.99
Sirloin Oven Roast- $3.44/lb = $10.28
Cooks Portoin Ham- $1.49/lb = $13.77
2 pack Pork Tenderloin- $2.99/lb = $6.92
Total spent: $63.00
Here’s what I had:
Milk – Mashed Potatoes
Butter- Mashed Potatoes
Cream – Pasta with Ham and Peas
Parmesan Cheese- Pasta with Ham and Peas
Salt and Pepper
Paprika
Garlic
mayonnaise BLT’s
Salad Dressing
2 onions- Pot Roast
1/2 C Beef broth- Pot Roast
3 Beef Bouillon cubes- Pot Roast
Bay leaf- Pot Roast
Rice- Stir Fry
Bread- BLT’s
I’m estimating that the cost of this week’s meal plan is around $65.00 for 5 meals, most likely with plenty of leftovers. I’ve already cooked the Ham, and besides the 2 meals I am using it for this week, I have enough to put in the freezer for a 3rd meal. So my $13.77 ham breaks down to about $4.59/meal. The large bag of frozen veggies will do me at least 2 different stir fry’s. Same with the pork tenderloin. Use the tomatoes and lettuce in the BLT’s and then make a side salad with the rest. You only need one of those for the stir fry, so you will have the meat and vegetables for a future meal. It’s all about buying when things are on sale and planning ahead.

Enjoy the week!
This is genius! I can’t believe what a small little grouping it makes when it’s so nicely thought-through. I’m terrible at grocery shopping so my husband usually does it, but I have to make the meal plan and I haaaaaaaate it.
Well, here you go Laura….a meal plan all ready for you! 🙂 Meal planning is life changing. I don’t know how people manage without it.
Visiting from MPM! This is a great menu, and it’s nice to see you budgeted it! Everything sounds delicious! I love using my slow cooker this time of year! My try your pot roast recipe! Thank you for the inspiration! Have a great week!
Thanks Christine…my slow cooker is in constant rotation this time of year. 🙂
Yum everything sounds so good! Meal planning is key for me so I stay on track during the week!
Key for us too. We all suffer when I try to “wing it”. 😉
I love that you’ve laid it all out here. This is an easy and inexpensive meal plan for the week. And I like how you’ve also included what you have as well so you’re not wasting!
Thanks Tiffany…trying to give people all the info to make their own plan. 🙂
