It’s not always easy to convince people to head out of town for a coffee date or lunch, but you’re sure to entice them with a scenic drive along the Lahave River, and head straight to the Lahave Bakery. A true destination on the South Shore and one of the best places to enjoy quality, homemade food, year-round.
The Lahave Bakery serves up delicious assortment of breads, cakes and cookies, made only with traditional ingredients. Their muffins, scones and oat cakes, with a cup of coffee or espresso, are the perfect start to any day. 🙂
Have you ever seen a more beautiful lunch board?
They have sandwich and soup specials available for lunch. The attention to detail and quality ingredients are evident the minute you take a bite. Try their classic Smoked Salmon on a bagel for a delicious treat, available with a side of chips or veggies.
Located inside a former outfitter building built in 1892, the bakery still carries the look and feel of a general store. Beginning with the welcoming Adirondack chairs out front, to the collectibles and antiques inside, makes the atmosphere at the Lahave Bakery memorable and unique.
Of course, everyone knows Lahave Bakery for their amazing bread, but did you know they also make their own jams, jellies and condiments?
We enjoy taking a winter beach walk nearby at Crescent or Rissers Beach, then heading to the Lahave Bakery for warm drinks and a treat. A weekend tradition for many South Shore residents.
If you don’t have time to sit and eat, you can also take some bread and treats to go. Down for a day-trip? Hop on the Lahave Ferry, right next door and enjoy the 10-minute crossing, before you head into Lunenburg or Riverport.
Located at 3421 Hwy 331, LaHave, Lahave Bakery is a must visit on any trip to the South Shore. Then spend some time exploring the other shops and offerings nearby, like Lahave River Books and Westcote Bell Pottery and Artworks.
