There’s just something about zipping into a cafe when the November winds are blowing and you’re in search of something to warm you up. We found the perfect place in beautiful Hubbards…Hubbards Cove Coffee.Â
Just a few minutes down the road from the Hubbards Barn and Community Park, where the Hubbards Farmers Market is held, Hubbards Cove Coffee can sneak up on you, but is definitely worth the stop….or back tracking if you happened to go by. 😉
A full service cafe with whatever your coffee-loving heart desires. Espresso, flavoured lattes, cappuccino, and cafe mochas, are just a few of the drinks available. They make a very good Americano, which really hits the spot.
They also have lunch offerings, with paninis being their speciality, along with a soup of the day. Paninis are served with chips and pickle and were so delicious, I’ve been thinking about when I can get back to have another! 😉
They even have a patio/porch, which would be lovely to sit out on, during warmer months and enjoy a coffee while overlooking the Hubbards Bay. Maybe pick up a book or two at the J. D. Shatford Memorial Public Library, which is right across the road, and enjoy a latte and a few chapters.
They also have art work on the walls, supporting local artists. There’s a few cozy couches and some kids toys and books. This is a community hub and gathering place, so welcomed by the people who reside here.Â
Located at 10360 Saint Margarets Bay Road, this feels like the kinds of place you want people to know about, but you want to keep to yourself. I’m sure during tourist season, it must be a bit overwhelming. but being open year-round, seven days a week, makes them a gathering place and welcoming hub for everyone in the community.
Friendly staff, delicious coffee and lunch, tucked away in picturesque Hubbards, you’ll have to stop in and check it out. Order a panini. You won’t be sorry. 🙂
