This fall has seen a change in our household with my son leaving for University and my daughter living in the city. Our youngest (15) is still home with us, but I can tell you one of the biggest adjustments I had to make was in the kitchen. I’ve been used to cooking for 5-7 a night for years, with billets, international students, girlfriends, friends. Guys…in September I threw bread…and milk(!)…out because it had gone bad! This hadn’t happened it the 20 years since I had kids. Things are changing.
A few months in and I am slowly getting used to cooking for three. It’s actually been a nice change. Some nights we even have enough leftovers for another night! LOL! Having some time and space to think differently about how and what we are eating, I started looking at various kitchen tools. One of the first things I was interested in trying was the Kuraidori Multi-Function Air Cooker.
An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that cooks by circulating hot air around the food. A mechanical fan circulates the hot air around the food at high-speed, cooking the food and producing a crispy layer, if so desired. It allows you to cook healthier without the addition of oil, or with very little. It’s simple, fast, easy to use and really easy to clean.
It has an easy to use digital touch screen display, and 6 Quick Menu functions, that allows you to cook, fry, bake and even rotisserie, your favourite meals!
Kuraidori Multi-Function Air Cooker- Home Fries
One of the first things I tried in the Kuraidori Air Cooker were home fries. Let me tell you…I have been married over 20 years…and I cannot tell you how many times my husband has talked about home fries. I have never made them, because I did not like the idea of cooking food in a big vat of oil! With the Kuraidori Air Cooker, you are using just a small amount of oil, and getting the same results. It’s pretty sweet. My husband certainly thought so. He loved them. 😉
You peel and cut your potatoes into strips and then soak them in water for 30 minutes.
Then cook in the air cooker for about 30 minutes. Everyone here agreed….they were delicious!
Kuraidori Multi-Function Air Cooker- Pork Chops
The next thing I tried were pork chops. One of the things I really love about the Kuraidori Air Cooker is how fast it cooks everything. I made us three pork chops in about 15 minutes. They were delicious, moist on the inside with a slightly crispy coating. Clean-up is also a breeze with the non-stick pans and trays wiping up easily.
Since then I’ve made frozen spring rolls, roasted carrots and even roasted a whole chicken. It comes with a cooking basket, and also a round pan. It even comes with a rotisserie! I wasn’t sure at first if this was going to be a good fit for me, but the more I used it, the more I came to love the quick convenience of it. Did I mention the easy clean-up? 😉
Kuraidori Multi-Function Air Cooker- Roast Chicken
The basket easily held a whole chicken. I put a lemon inside the chicken cavity, rubbed a small amount of oil on the chicken and then some spices.
The end result was a flavourful, most chicken with an amazing crispy exterior. Delicious!
Kuraidori Multi-Function Air Cooker- Roasted Carrots
I LOVE roasted vegetables and making roasted carrots in the air cooker, using less oil, was a win-win. It’s good to note to then you’re doing vegetables, home fries, etc, it’s important to try to cut them all the same size. to ensure they all cook evenly.

I had a lot of fun experimenting and making some of our favourites in a new way. I love the time and energy we are saving with its fast cooking. The cooking basket is deep and can hold a lot, and it comes with 2 smaller fry baskets allowing you to cook more than one food at a time. My daughter also feels more comfortable using this, than the stove, when we’re not home. Next up we’re going to try baked pears…and chocolate cake! (stay tuned…)
The Kuraidori Multi-Function Air Cooker would be a great gift for the foodies on your list, for someone just starting out and new to cooking, or for anyone who enjoys making healthy food. It’s quick, its easy to use and produces some delicious meals. It also comes with a recipe book to help get you started.
Have you tried the Kuraidori Air-Cooker? Favourite foods to make in it? If not…what would be the first thing you would try?
