This peaceful trail system is made up of well defined footpaths which wind through young hard and softwood stands. The footing is relatively even with minimal change in elevation. Wet areas are covered with short, flat bridges or corduroyed log sections to keep your feet dry.
Trail maps are located at the trail head as well as every intersection. Each trail is well marked with colored markers corresponding to the trail color on the map.
The yellow trail takes you alongside a lovely winding creek in a mossy softwood stand. A look off viewing of the mouth of the LaHave river awaits you at the top.
The green trail can be done as a straight in an out hike, or, as part of the pink loop.
Another look off can be found here next to a carved bench. An ideal spot for picnic.
The pink trail takes you past a large and remarkable pine tree before winding through a picturesque maple stand lined with golden sweet smelling ostrich and hay ferns.
The Blue trail takes you through a mixed forest towards a small lily pad filled pond surrounded by autumn red shrubbery and softwoods. A carved bench is also available to relax on in this area.
Overall, this is a great hike for all ages with multiple options for distance.

I am always looking for new places to hike. Thanks for this post. Gorgeous photos!! I’m excited to check it out.
This looks and sounds exactly like what I’ve been searching for. Thank you, Jessi, and welcome. I look forward to hearing more from you. 😊
We just hiked the green and most of the pink and I would suggest that saying “the footing is relatively even”is a bit of a stretch and “minimal change in elevation.” Is also a bit of a stretch if you are aiming to appeal to all ages.
Thank you Judi for sharing that. I appreciate it.
