Wow…it’s almost mid-May…what??! Maybe it’s hard to comprehend because my heat has been coming on pretty much every day this week. Ugh. But, the weekend is near and so is some much-needed sunshine! The forecast looks lovely and just what we need to fire up that barbecue and embrace spring. Good news…Fresh Cuts Market has lots of specials on this week that can help with that. Welcome to Fresh Cuts Friday!
Here’s what we’re having this week:
Schneider’s Grill Em’s Sausages with Potato Salad
Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Rice and Peas

Barbecued Pork Chops, Mashed Potatoes and Peas
Garlic and Herb Pork Tenderloin
Here’s what I bought:
10 lbs Potatoes- $1.97

2 lbs carrots- $1.97
Vine Tomatoes- $1.44
Large White Eggs- $2.97
English Cucumbers- (2)- $1.94

This week is a great example of why meal planning can really help keep your grocery bill down. A 10lb bag of potatoes are on sale this week for $1.97, so I am using that to make mashed potatoes one night and potato salad another. Super economical and can go a long way! Iceburg Lettuce is also on sale for $1.17 which will make the base of a great green salad to go with some barbecued burgers. I’m using the frozen peas as a side for meatballs and I also throw some in my potato salad…just like Mom did. 😉
It only took me a few minutes to map out our meals for this week by basing it around the Fresh Cuts Market specials and I was able to plan out 5 meals for our family of 5 for only $47.00…wow!
You can sign up on Fresh Cuts Market’s website to receive their specials by email each week.
So celebrate your Mom or someone special in your life this weekend, with a nice barbecue and some time together. Then relax knowing you’re all set for the week with your Fresh Cuts Friday meal plan. Enjoy!
