It’s no secret, that the houseplant trend is alive and well and a new shop in Lunenburg is dedicated to just that. Faye’s Wildflowers in Lunenburg is here to help you bring nature inside, add a little green to your life, and make spaces beautiful through the use of plants.
With three small boys and a busy family life, Ashlee Selig was working a full-time job, but tired of missing our on soccer games, concerts and even holidays with her family. In 2020, she took her love of houseplants and began posting and selling plants to her friends, all from her dining room table. It very quickly took over and outgrew the dining room and in January 2021, Ashlee opened Faye’s Wildflowers, a retail location in the heart of Lunenburg.
Named after Ashlee’s grandmother and her love of plants and wildflowers, Faye’s Wildflower’s offers houseplants, seeds, soil, and some curated locally made products, including macrame hangers. Whether you are new to plants, or looking to add to your collection, Faye’s Wildflower’s can help make your space cozy and greener.
New shipments of plants arrive each Friday, with favourites like Bird of Paradise, Ivy, Philodendron Monstera, String of Pearls and more. You can shop online, and they also offer plant drop offs in Tantallon & Bayer’s Lake on Tuesday’s.
There are future plans for a soil bar, pot exchange, some seasonal outdoor plants and wildflowers and to continue helping people discover how plants can change your life.
Faye’s Wildflowers is located at 10 Pelham Street in Lunenburg, right across from where the library used to be. They are closed Mondays and open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm and Sundays 10:00am-4:00pm.
Stop in and say hi to Ashlee and let’s give this new business on the South Shore a warm welcome. Who doesn’t want some more green in their life?
