What says fall like the smell of cinnamon? With all the fall delights it was hard to choose just one recipe to feature this month, but this cinnamon roll cake is mouthwatering, moist and delicious, and best served warm from the oven.
Imagine coming in from an afternoon walk in the crisp cool air, or back from an exciting afternoon at the rink, and warming up a piece of this decadent creation with a cup of coffee or tea, you will be warm in now time.
Every time I share a picture of it, or serve it to guests, I get requests for the recipe. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
Cinnamon Roll Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 3 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup butter melted
Topping
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Glaze (after baking)
- 2 cup powdered sugar
- 5 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Mix cake ingredients all together except for the butter.
- Slowly stir in the melted butter and pour into a greased 9x13 pan. I use a glass pan sprayed with a nonstick spray
- For the topping, mix all the ingredients together until well combined
- Drop evenly over the batter and swirl with a knife.
- Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
- Allow cake to cool for a few minutes while you mix the glaze
- Drizzle the glaze over the cake
- Serve warm
