I have been parenting school-aged children for at least 15 years. Heck, two of them have already graduated. In those years there have been a few consistencies. Many lunches have come home uneaten….science fair/heritage fair projects typically bring a fair amount of stress…kids come home from school STARVING (see first mention…;) ) AND I have scrambled more times than I care to count, writing out a last-minute bus note as the kids yelled out that they were going to a friend’s house after school.
Every year I swear I am going to print out a sheet with bus notes already printed and have them ready….and after 15 years… I did it. I have a bus note printable! I thought you might need it too. )
You seriously can’t imagine my excitement over having this done! It is such a simple thing, but it’s already bringing me a sense of calm. I have scrambled for a pen/pencil/marker…grabbed a post-it, the back of my grocery list, or an envelope….whatever was closest to me as I was writing and throwing it at them as they ran out the door. Then…god forbid…if I wasn’t home, (which also would mean no coffee was made) and my dear husband was responsible for producing a bus-note…in the morning. That was never pretty, or fun for anyone 😉 Now….we have a bus note printable….copies printed out and ready…and all is right with the world. Can you feel the calm?
Bus Note Printable
I figured if I waited 15 years to do this, you may not have done it yet either. If you already have…bless you. I would also like your number so I can call you when the Science Fair project is due. If you would like the bus note printable just click here.
We actually have 2 versions and one of those versions is in color or black and white. I think the one with the bus on it really cute, but my grade 9 daughter politely informed me she would NOT be taking that to school…thank you very much. So, we came up with a simpler version for the older kids. Middle school is hard…their bus note shouldn’t add to it. 🙂
Are you guys as excited as me!!! Print these off TODAY! You’ll be so happy. Don’t have a printer/ink…go to your nearest printer/UPS store and get some copies made there…doesn’t cost much at all. Feel peace and tranquility wash over you. You’re welcome. 🙂
What a great idea Jen! I will have to save these for a few years from now 🙂
Such a time-saver…so glad to have this done! 🙂
