Chances are, through your personal or professional life, you will find yourself saying “Let’s meet for coffee…” at one time or another. Or you may just want to slip away yourself for a few quiet minutes to refresh, read, or do some work. Now…where to go? Let’s meet at the Shop on the Corner?

Shop on the Corner is located in Lunenburg, right in the heart of the town- 263 Lincoln St. to be exact. With a door like this, who wouldn’t want to come in? So sweet!

I stopped in the other day after a Thursday morning at the Lunenburg Farmers Market. The first decision was what to have? They serve Laughing Whale coffee, so that would always be an excellent choice, but I was feeling like something festive that day. Just my luck…they have a whole “Festive” Board!

I settled on the first thing I spotted…an Eggnog Latte. I had mine with 1 shot of espresso. It came in a perfect sized mug with a sprinkle of nutmeg. It was honestly the best Latte I have had in a long time-possibly ever!

I grabbed a seat in their little cafe section, and finally had a chance to read our weekly local paper. Soft Christmas music playing in the background, delicious aromas wafting from the coffee and their lunch special…that day was a spinach quiche with a side salad… what a perfect little break!

The “Shop” is also a neat little store with lots of unique and sought after gifts. A great selection of Lug bags, Grohmann Knives, colorful coffee and tea mugs and pots, dishes and lots of unique stocking stuffer ideas.

I came home telling my girls all about it and planning our next trip for a little Christmas outing to stop in and have a latte. The hardest part will be deciding what to try next! Candy Cane…Gingerbread…Chai Nog. Anyone wanna meet for coffee?
