We see them popping up on our Facebook feed regularly this time of year…summer jobs…and in particular Summer Student Jobs. It’s not all beach trips and ice cream, summer is also a great time for students to gain valuable skills and also save some money for their continuing education. Good news! There are lots of places…right here on the South Shore… looking to hire the right person!
A number of the positions being advertised now are typically jobs that are being subsidized by the Government of Canada as part of their Canada Summer Jobs program. Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) is an initiative of the Summer Work Experience program. It provides wage subsidies to employers to create employment for secondary and post-secondary students. It is an incredible program, that benefits so many.
So we thought it might be helpful to have some of these positions in one place. We published a similar post last year that was very popular. We’re really doing this for the parents.
