I know October feels early to start talking about the holidays, but the truth is….it’s never too early to start planning! 😉 For the past three years we have published a gift guide that continues to be one of the highlights of our year. It’s time to start developing this years Simple Local Life Holiday Gift Guide and we couldn’t be more excited!
Our goal is to help smaller independent producers and makers with promotion, getting the word out about some of the amazing products and goods being made right here, and helping local independent shops highlight their unique goods and offerings. I am happy to say that it has been a resounding success, with people anxiously waiting for the gift guide to come out each year. We are so excited to announce that the 2019 Simple Local Life Holiday Gift Guide is now open for submissions!

More than ever people are embracing the local movement and looking for ways to support each other. The goal of the Simple Local Life Holiday Gift Guide is to provide its readers with a list of gift ideas and shops that make it easy to shop and support local this holiday season. We have so many talented producers and merchants and we want to help highlight that!
2019 Simple Local Life Holiday Gift Guide
This year, as in past, we offer different packages and price points to make it accessible and give you options on how you would like to appear in the Guide. There is a Holiday Gift Guide Basic Package, a Facebook Live Package and a 12 Days of Christmas Package. The first two are perfect for people looking to just be a part of the guide or do a Facebook Live video from your shop or business. The 12 Days of Christmas package is a chance for independent business owners to highlight their “Top 5 Gifts” for a select market and make holiday shopping easy for our readers.
2019 Holiday Gift Guide Basic Package
Our basic package gives your product unique exposure to an audience committed to supporting local
What you’ll get:
- You supply an image or two and description and your company name, product name, image of your product, price, and link to your website will appear in our 2019 Holiday Gift Guide
- We’ll promote the Gift Guide during the month of November/December on all of our social media accounts: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, We’ll promote the Gift Guide in the sidebar on individual blog posts, and on our homepage.

2019 Holiday Gift Guide Facebook Live Package
Looking to give your brand or product even more exposure? We are offering Facebook Live packages on a first-come, first served basis. These are a very popular option with lots of engagement and results.
What you’ll get:
- A Facebook Live video highlighting your business and/or products. The videos will appear separately from our gift guide, and will run sometime in November/December.
- All of the benefits of the Holiday Gift Guide Basic Package, as listed above.

Twelve Days of Christmas Package
If you are an independent owner of a shop or store, you could have an individual post where you highlight your “Top 5 Gifts”. You pick the theme…for Mom/Dad/Family Stocking Stuffers, etc.
What you’ll get:
- A sponsored blog post highlighting your store/business/products and will include your company name, product name, product description, image of your product, price, and a link to your website. The blog post will appear separately from our gift guide, and will run sometime in November/December. We’ll share this sponsored post on all of our social media accounts: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- A Facebook Live video can be added on to this package
- All of the benefits of the Holiday Gift Guide Basic Package, as listed above.

Giveaways
We also host giveaways as part of the Guide. The giveaways are very popular and definitely led to increased traffic on the posts. If you are interested in being part of a giveaway, just let me know. I will host the giveaway, confirm entries, advertise and draw winners. You are responsible for shipping the prize to the confirmed winner or having them stop by and pick it up.
