It wouldn’t be fall on the South Shore, without the return of the scarecrows! One of the most beloved festivals in the province and one that sees scores of people in Mahone Bay, happily walking the streets, hopping in and out of shops and taking pictures…the 2019 Scarecrow Festival and Antique Fair is coming up this weekend, September 27th-29th!
There are over 250 handmade scarecrows on display throughout the town and the weekend is chock full of activities! From the Craft Market and Giant Book Sale, Live Entertainment and Kids Crafts, there is something for everyone at the 2019 Scarecrow Festival and Antique Fair! The pumpkins are back on top of Joanne’s Market…always a sure sign of fall in Mahone Bay!
Why not make a weekend out of it and stay at Oak Island Resort and Conference Centre? Just a few minutes from Mahone Bay they are the perfect place to relax after a day at the Festival. A change to this years schedule, instead of having a pumpkin path this year be sure to visit the amazing Afterglow Art Festival in Bridgewater! Free Art, Music, Movies and more, taking place Friday and Saturday night…another fall event on the South Shore not to miss!
